| 38 COLT; fair bore, good grips, 6'' barrel, Manufactured in 1884, nickel finish with original checkered hard rubber "cop and thug" grips. Blued finish small parts. Single action with 5-shot cylinder and spur trigger. Stamped on top of the barrel with the Colt's address in two lines. The caliber designation "38 CAL" is stamped on the left side of the frame under the cylinder. The finish is possibly a renickel, however if so of high quality, markings remain clear and legible. Scattered minor handling scratches. The grips are in Good condition, the bottom of the left panel at the border with the frame has a tiny chip about center and a tight split which runs forward to the toe of the panel. Mechanically fine. The bore has good rifling however has light pitting throughout. Antique., s/n 171xx |
