| .45; Excellent bore, Excellent + grips, 5.5'' barrel, Manufactured in 1877 in Hartford, Connecticut. John T. Cleveland and his crew of inspectors went over this revolver they found something they didn’t like and condemned it. You will notice the large “C” by the inspector’s initials for condemned. The top of the barrel is marked “COLT’S PT.F.A. MFG. CO. HARTFORD, CONN.U.S.A.” The left side of the frame is marked with patent dates in the years 1871, 1872 and 1875. A very neat and somewhat scarce Colt SAA. The overall condition is good. The metal surface has a gray patina. The markings are clear and legible. The serial numbers match. The grips are in great shape, smooth and solid. The bore is in good condition with strong rifling. The action on this revolver is excellent. When fully cocked, you can still slightly rotate the cylinder. This revolver comes with the Colt’s Manufacturing Company, Inc. authentication certificate.
