THE FRAME, TRIGGER GUARD AND HAMMER BEAR THE INSECTORS INITIAL "HN" THESE NETTLETONS ARE THE ONLY CAVALRY REVOLVERS WITH AN ORDNANCE STAMPED HAMMER AND ARE HIGHLY COLLECTABLE DUE TO THERE SHORT PRODUCTION RUN FROM AUGUST 3, 1878 UNTIL SEPTEMBER 27, 1878 WITH 3000 PRODUCED. THIS EXAMPLE HAS A HIGH QUALITY REFINISH AND RETAINS EXCELLENT BLUING SHOWING EXTREMELY LIGHT WEAR. THE CASE COLORS HAVE FADED BUT STILL RETAIN APPROX 50% COLORS. THE BORE IS EXCELLENT AND BRIGHT AS IS THE ACTION. THE ONE-PIECE WOOD GRIPS ARE ALSO EXCELLENT AND BEAR SHARP "JFG" CARTOUCHES.
