| 8mm; 92% blue, good bore, very good stock, 29'' barrel, Gew 1888 rifle manufactured by Danzig arsenal, dated 1890. All matching numbers except the buttplate. German Imperial proofing on the right side of the receiver ring. "S" stamped chamber. Original cleaning rod. Stock has had hand checkering work done on the wrist and carved hunting scene added on the right side of the butt. Bolt handle turned down. Wire swivel added on the lower swivel base. The bore has strong rifling and has been greased, may scrub out to better condition. Antique, s/n 29xx |
