| Scarce, as most did not survive the climate in the East Indies, complete with the original brass mounted leather scabbard. Issued to the Dutch Royal Navy Marines, circa the 1930s. Manufactured in German by Lunenschloss, with the Crown/W stamp on one side of the ricasso for Queen Wilhelmina. The scabbard is stamped near the chape CW/N 6 35/A L. The 24.25 inch blade has turned a spotty brown patina with signs of some light sharpening done long ago. The two piece wooden grips, held with three brass rivets, show some wear, the left panel having a small chip missing at the back and the handle area has some minor pitting overall. The scabbard remains intact, having surface leather cracking and scuffing. The scabbard is missing the leather belt hanger tab., |
