| 9x19mm; 98% blue, 95% straw, good bore, very good+ grips, 4'' barrel, Not only is this Imperial era military P.08 pistol in exceptional condition, it is marked to a doctor who served with the 1st Reserve Schwere Reiter cavalry regiment during World War 1. The pistol is all matching including the grip panels and magazine. Expertly engraved on the left sideframe "Rieffenberg/Hannover". The pistol is the standard issue P.08 with Imperial proofing and acceptance marks as normal otherwise. 1915 dated over the chamber. The matching magazine has some dark spotting/corrosion on the body. Straw color on small parts is uniform, and there is no excessive finish wear on the pistol. Mentionable wear on the edges of the sideplate hump and left side of the muzzle ring from holstering. With the pistol is an original 1915 dated holster which is in very good condition for its age. Original stitching and internal lifting strap intact, the only weak area is at the upper line of stitch on the front belt loop on the reverse. Strong maker mark on the front upper edge "SATTLER INNUNG/HANNOVER/1915". Original Imperial proofed takedown tool in very good condition inside the pouch under the flap. And an extra magazine, not matching to the pistol but in excellent condition. Serial numbered 2116 with Erfurt proofs on the base. Neatly hand written in ink under the flap "Dr. jur. Rieffenberg Hannover" over smaller writing which may be an address, hard to read. And in a separate area under the flap "Schwere Reserve / Reiter Regiment 1"., s/n 25xxb, Catalog Number D-330 |
