| 22 RF CAL; fair bore, good grips, 2.5'' barrel, Unmarked except for the serial number on the top base of the frame. 90%+ original nickel finish with walnut birdshead grips. These were originally produced by Iver Johnson ca.1870's, up to 1887, according to Flayderman's Guide to Antique American Firearms. While Flayderman does not mention any produced that were not marked, this example has no markings and there is no sign of removal of markings. Side pivoting barrel for loading. 4.5 inch OAL. Mechanically the hammer does not hold back. Rust spotting in areas of finish loss. Antique, s/n 1xx |
