| 30-06 Cal; 99% blue, good bore, good stock, 26'' barrel, Manufactured in Sept. 1918. The top of the chamber is stamped U.S. / MODEL OF 1917 / EDDYSTONE / 1135357. The bore is mirror bright, and the barrel is stamped E / FLAMING BOMB / 9-18 Eddystone Arsenal was the manufacturing plant responsible for producing the Remington contract Model 1917 rifles for the U.S. government during 1917 and 1918. The bolt is stamped with R and Flaming Bomb. The rear sight was a folding leaf, adjustable for elevation, but not windage. The magazine capacity was six rounds, although it was typically loaded with the same five-round stripper clip as the Model 1903 Springfield rifle. The stock is marked āPā behind the trigger guard and there is also an mark directly behind the trigger guard RA - P. The stock and the metal finish have been refinished.
