| 9X57R; 95% blue, excellent bore, very good stock, 22 1/4'' barrel, An Edward Kettner double rifle, box lock, believed to be a 9X57R. 22'' barrels, skillfully engraved and proofed on 9/12/1943. Has a silver plaque inset '' Liesette'' on left side. Mechanically excellent condition with excellent bores, 90-95% blue, action and trigger guard have 70% faded case colors. The wood shows some honest wear, yet the checkering is well defined, no cracks, Monti Carlo style cheek, euro style swivels added. A wide barrel rib with iron sights is fitted for a double claw mounted scope (not included). 13 3/4 LOP to a horn butt plate that shows sign of worm eating. At only 6lbs total weight with a tight lockup. Edward Kettner was one of the best known German Gunmakers and as acquired from the collection of the J. M. Davis Museum, probably made for a NAZI VIP or his wife in later 1943., s/n 47xx |
