| Brass construction with a hinged lid top and simple engraved decoration. Seller notes state that this item was found in Switzerland and was used for carrying priming powder for flintlock firearms circa 16th century. There are two swivels on each side and two loops neat the top for attaching a carrying strap. One of the loops at the top is missing and the other is smashed. Measures approximately 2 x 2 inches with a depth of 1.25 inches. Overall good showing some corrosion and age patina., |
