| Description: |
| 6.5x50mm Arisaka; 90% blue, good bore, very good stock, 30.5'' barrel, Manufactured in Italy for a Japanese Navy contract circa 1938-1939. These were based on the 1891 Carcano rifle with chambering for the Japanese 6.5x50 cartridge, an internal 5 round capacity Mauser type magazine, Japanese required stocking up and slotted receiver bridge for use with stripper clips. The G prefix serial number indicates manufacture by FNA Brecia, however there was some fluctuation in numbering between the three manufacturers of these rifles. The original cleaning rod is present and the attached leather sling is included. The parts including the bolt are not serial numbered which is proper for these rifles. Not import marked. Fixed front sight, ladder rear sight with graduations to 2400 meters. Two piece buttstock. The metal shows areas of some thinning blued finish. The stock has scattered mostly minor handling dings and marks. The handguard has a minor crack at the rear, ahead of the rear sight base., s/n G14xx |
