| 22 LR; 85% blue, excellent bore, very good stock, 26.25'' barrel, Manufactured in France, these miniature "carbines" were made in sporting versions as well as for military school training and cadet use. Single shot bolt action. Original blued finish, mounted in a wlanut stock and full length forend with finger grooves held with two barrel bands. Matching serial numbers on bolt and barrel bands. Clearing rod preent. Fixed front sight with side folding cover, tangent rear sight with graduations 0, 25, 50 and 100 meters. In overall very good condition. The rear sight and barrel have several small dings from a mis-guided gunsmith however the sight functions fine. The metal finish shows some scattered areas of minor surface rusting. There is a 1 inch tight crack behind the receiver tang. This firearm is from the Robert Simpson collection and is pictured and noted in the book "Training Rifles of Third Reich Germany" on page 600., Training Rifles of Third Reich Germany pp 600, s/n 458xx |
