| 8x57mm; poor bore, good stock, 23.5'' barrel, French issued German K98 Mauser rifle, stamped on top of the receiver ring "Mod.98" and "swp45". German eagle/63 proofs are located on both sides of the receiver ring and on the left side of the barrel. No matching parts. Laminated stock with what appears top be an Ethiopian roundel stamped on the right side, the stamp is for the most part illegible. The metal has worn mostly grey. Stamped steel "winter" trigger guard. Stamped upper band, welded lower band, spring kept. Cupped buttplate. Import marked under the end of the barrel from IO INC. The bore is dark with fairly strong rifling., s/n 3xx |
