| 23 3/8 inch blade with one piece brass D guard handle with obverse quillon. Klingenthal arsenal manufacture marked along the top edge of the blade with an 1817 date. Halmarked inspector marks on the right side of the blade, unit markings on the left "5E Lon/1310". Several inspector marks on the brass handle and guard and stamped on the left side of the D guard "Versailles". Original brass mounted leather scabbard with halmarked inspector marks on the tip and a maker mark on one side. Over all good, the blade has dark spotted areas with pitting., |
