| 22 Short; 80% blue, Good bore, good stock, 24 5/8'' barrel, Single shot break open rifle, manufactured in Germany and dated May 1927. Original blue finish octagon barrel with fixed front and limited elevation adjustable rear sights on a matted top flat. Casehardened frame with top mounted cocking indicator. Mounted in a walnut stock with checkered straight grip and cheekrest. Double set triggers. Engraved on the barrel FR.J.BARTELS WAFFENMANUF./WIESBADEN. The finish on the barrels shows edge wear and slight thinning, with some minor surface spotting. The frame, lever and buttplate retain generous case color. The wood has some small dings and scratches and is in overall good condition however there is a repaired crack on the right side of the wrist. Mechanically fine. The bore shows some minor corrosion throughout. C&R/FFL, s/n 45xx |
