| 16 Ga; excellent bore, very good stock, 28'' barrel, 2 3/4 inch chambers with Full and Modified chokes. Blued barrels, casehardened frame and mounted in plain walnut. Marked on the left side of the frame "GEO. WORTHINGTON CO./-CLEVELAND, OHIO-" and on the right side of the frame "PAT. APR. 20-1915". Features a boxlock action, extractors, double triggers, tang mounted safety, pressure release forearm and a full grip stock fitted with the original plastic buttplate. The finish on the barrels has thinned and it appears a coat of cold blue finish was wiped over the barrels at some point. The left barrel has an area of shallow pitting just forward of the forearm. The case colors have mostly faded from the frame, showing only traces. The wood is nice, having very few handling marks. Mechanically fine with tight lockup., s/n T310xx |
