| Excellent bore, Very good + grips, 9'' barrel, Kriegsmarine U-Boat double barrel flare gun. Was produced for the purpose of signaling and illumination. This excellent example of the Walther model SLD ( Signal und Leucht Doppelschussmodel ) features stainless steel barrel and frame with walnut grips. These double barrel flare guns were mainly allotted to U-Boats. For that reason very few of these are in existence today. The frame is well marked with AC 41 ( Walther 1941) and the Kriegsmarine waffenamt. The spring that releases the barrel is intact and allows for free movement. Marked with serial number (2375) this rare article was apparently un-issued judging by its condtion. Shows numerous handling marks and scuffs., s/n 23xx |
