| A WWI Imperial German Army S98/05 'Butcher' knife bayonet, this one combines the standard two-line Anker-Werke / Bielefeld marking with a Henckel's twins mark above. There is a āJā at the back of the true edge in front of cross guard. The mark on the spine is illegible. The cross guard is marked with a ā6ā???. The pommel is marked with a crown over FA (Friedrich August III) Saxony. The 14 Ā½ inch unsharpened blade has some dark spots while the cross guard, tang and pommel has browned. The steel scabbard has light scattered patina and is missing the finial. The throat also is marked with a crown over FA. The 1915 dated dark rough texture leather frog has an illegible manufactures mark., |
