| WWII era beer stein, no maker markings found. The number 4022 is molded onto the bottom. Glazed finish with age crazing. Measures 4.75 inches high with a diameter of approximately 4 inches. Marked on the front with a helmet over crossed rifles, flanked by a unicorn on a shield on one side and a Heer droopwinged eagle on a shield on the other. Also marked 1.Stomp.Ubgs.Lager/Bludenz and Grinnerung a.m./Dienstzeit/1.6-14.7.39. There is an area of chipping on the bottom edge with some wear to the glazing around the top edge. There is a small hole on the top of the handle where a hinged lid may have been at one time. Overall very good condition., |
