| very good+ grips, Early Luftwaffe Sword by SMF The sun wheel swastikas are the inlaid brass type, and most of the silvering is still intact between them. The pommel cap has a tap at the top reverse edge but otherwise is in nice condition featuring the stamped oak leaves with pebbling running around its upper flat surface. The crossguard wings are in nice condition having lots of enhancing to the feathering. The carved wood grip is covered with blue Moroccan leather. The leather remains in perfect condition throughout and is wrapped with double spring type brass wire. The scabbard shell is straight throughout. This shell has extremely good original leather with no problems whatsoever with it. It shows some wearing signs but no breaks or nips. The 26-inch-long blade is still bright throughout showing some extremely minor age signs in the surfaces but nothing serious. The blade still grades in near mint condition. It is marked on the reverse with the SMF seated king trademark. This sword has a blue leather washer. This is an excellent example of a Luftwaffe Sword., |
