| Short dress bayonet with a 7 1/8 inch bright fullered blade, 12 5/8 inch over all length. Eagles head pommel with checkered black plastic grips. No maker markings are present on the blade. The blade is etched on the right side which translates to "14th Signal Battalion thanks for your service". Complete with the original black enamel painted steel scabbard and a brown leather belt frog. The scabbard and frog are unmarked. The blade is very good plus with some tiny areas of minor spotting and light insertion wear. The grip has some lifting of the plated finish, the grips are fine showing minor handling. The catch button works well. The scabbard has some paint loss on the back and lower part of the front. Overall very good condition., |
