| 8mm Mauser; 60% blue, fair bore, good stock, 29'' barrel, Waffenfabrik Mauser Oberndorf manufacture dated 1915/16. Standard Imperial proofs and military acceptance marks. Thin original blue finish, bright receiver, mounted in a finger grooved beechwood stock and walnut handguard. Matching bolt. Non-matching parts are the stock, trigger guard and guard screws (floorplate matches), upper band, rear sight, magazine follower, firing pin cocking piece and buttplate. No import markings. Original cleaning rod present. The stock has a 1 inch crack behind the receiver tang and an old chip of wood missing at the toe of the butt. The handguard has a crack at the tip. Mechanically fine. The bore is dark showing strong rifling. The muzzle is counterbored. C&R/FFL, s/n 28xxx |
