| good grips, German gravity knives were not only armed units of the airborne troops, but also the flying personnel of the Luftwaffe and tank units of the Wehrmacht. This item is a World War Two German Paratrooper gravity knife. The maker's logo is visible indicating it was manufactured by SMF / Solingen. And the blade has been sharpened. There is also a flip-open spike tool engr. d with a German eagle acceptance mark. The original smooth Walnut grips are in good original condition and engraved with FUM ANDE Both grip panels are tight to the knife with the original steel pins/rivets intact. All of the functions are in perfect working order, with the original springs still providing the proper tension to both the blade release button and knot spike (locks open and closed nicely). The lanyard ring is in perfect shape and moves nicely., |
