| Imperial era Cavalry dress sword complete with the original steel scabbard, leather portepee strap with gold bullion acorn and leather hanger. Etched 13.5 inch blade in good condition, having a few tiny nicks that can be felt aong the edge. The etching is a bit faint but legible. Brass D guard with lions head pommel. Rayskin grip with tight gold braided wire wrap, showing some wear and a small split near the pommel. The brass retains the original age patina with some minor corrosion deep in the details. The scabbard has wear to the black paint finish with some surface rust here and there, and one of the rings for the hanger is missing. Overall good original condition., |
