| Blade is marked on one side with the etched RZM over the code M7/73 (F&A Helbig Gaesler, Steinbach). Opposite side of the blade is etched with the slogan "Alles fur Deutschland". These markings are weak and the blade has light spotting in the finish overall. The handle is in good condition showing scattered small dings, the inset eagle is very good as is the inset SA buttom near the pommel. The guard and pommel retain bright polish having light scratches, and there is minor corrosion along the edge borders with the handle on both the guard and pommel. The scabbard retains approximately 97% black finish, having some loss on each side edge. Scratches on each side and there is a creased dent on one side 4 inches from the ball tip. The chape and tip have the original screws in place and retain bright finish. The tip has some seperation at the ball, however the ball is undamaged. |
