| Original era manufacture. Issue sword as carried by mounted units of the German Army prior to the outbreak of WWII. The blade and blue steel scabbard bear the matching serial number of 3441 along with the maker’s code of CE/G. The 34 inch polished steel blade is clean and straight with its leather bumper in place at the guard. Black celluloid grip shows its original twisted wire binding. Typical scratching, dings and dents to the brass guard and pommel, leather finger loop is intact. The blue steel scabbard has a few surface nicks and scratches., |
