| Here is one by the most populous maker Ernst Pack & Sohn! The blade on this one looks great. The acid etched "Alles für Deutschland" motto and "E. P. & S. Solingen" maker mark are both dark, crisp, and beautifully executed! The crossgrain is easily visible all the way from the hilt to the tip. The fit remains nice and tight, and the tip comes to a perfect point! This blade rates an easy Excellent condition. It shows the common age greying throughout along with the typical runner marks. The steel based; brown anodized scabbard looks wonderful! It retains a beautiful brown finish and retains 90% of its original factory lacquer! The solid nickel scabbard fittings and the crossguards are both in very good condition. The ball has one wee bruise yet retains a nice round shape and all four screws remain tightly intact. The scabbard / crossguard fit is perfect and closes with a snap! The reverse of the lower crossguard is marked "Nm" (Nordmark). The brown hardwood grip is in excellent condition The solid nickel eagle is in excellent condition. The SA roundel has a perfect fit and retains 99%+ of its enamel., |
