| Blade: Bright, Etched “Alles Für Deutschland”, Light drag marks from retention hardware, Light pitting. Cross Grain- Has been polished, Not very visible. Ricasso: Etched "encirclement of dots, NEPTUN, Arrow through 6-pointed star logo, SOLINGEN". Cross Guard: Stamped "No", Misc. wear & tear. Has been "Pinstriped/Highlighted" with a red unknown paint in the notches on both cross guard, pummel, eagle and pommel nut. Handle: Wood- Has many scratches and some dents,dings, Has two cracks, One between the Roundel and Pommel and one on the opposite side about 3/4 in long. Eagle Insignia- Good details, High points have some wear. “SA” Roundel- Brown enamel, Dull nickel. Pommel: Dull nickel, Light misc. scratches, Light patina. Pommel Nut- "Highlighted" red, Some rounding of hex edges. Scabbard: SA. Throat fitting- Dull nickel, Misc. dents, scratches, light patina. Body- Brown "Anodized" finish (85%) w/lacquer coating (80%) Chape- Dull nickel, Misc. scratches, Light patina. Finial- Has deformation dent, w/ slight "mushrooming" back over Chape. SIDE NOTE: There's evidence of polishing of nickel parts in the form of polish residue in the "Fits" between the wood cross guard and pommel., |
