| This helmet is contructed of lightweight thin steel with a roughly rolled edge, having a black paint finish, and 2 vented holes on each side, similar to German WW2 era Police/Firemans helmets. The 2 areas of 7 vent holes on each side are raised in a domed fashion. The helmet shell is not marked, except for a paint printed number 71 on the right inside. The parts of the liner that remain is a grey cardboard material attached to three cork pads, one of which is missing. Origin unknown. Condition fair, showing some paint loss and several small dents. There is a solder repair to a split at the back and some surface rust internally. |
