| Cerimonial "Organization Todt" shovel for completion of work at "Lager Udet" (camp Udet) on the Jersey Islands, off the coast of Normandy, 1941-43. The firms of "Arge & Kehl" contracted for and performed the work using slave and forced labor. The shovel is hand-painted in varoius colors in commemoration of the work. Additional history is provided on an old hand written tag from a veteran which acquired the shovel. Interestingly these channel islands were some of the last liberated German held territories at the end of World War 2., |
