| An interesting lot of named documents and an original sniper's arm patch award. This extremely scarce patch has a greyish wool background with embroidered green border, black eagles head facing to the right, over a green oakleaf and acorn. The patch is 100% original and is in very good condition. There are three named paper items, first is a Einschrieben (Registered Mail) document dated 10/13/1942 to an Lieber Ernst Pieper and signed by an Hauptfeldwebel (NCO), shows being folded for a long period and has hand writing on the back. Another document is dated 2/16/45, and has information from 2.Kamp. Gren. Rgt. 893 and II./ Jager-Regiment 22 (L), and is in regards to Ogefr. Ernst Pieper and signed by a Leutnant und Rgt. Adj. This document has been folded for a time as well. In addition is a Soldbuch also named to Pieper which is full of hand written entries and ink stampings. In the back of the Soldbuch are other papers, one being a newspaper clipping and a clipping of a Mobil Oil advertisement from a German newspaper, as well as an Anmeldebescheinigung (Registration Document) which is also named to Ernst Pieper and ha a date of August 18, 1959. These items wear all folded and stored in the back of the Soldbuch for many years. The Soldbuch has old tape reinforcement added to the spine which appears to be bandage tape. |
