| Description: |
| This Army Officer's Dagger is in very good plus condition. Model 1935. The Dagger has the maker mark on the blade: Robert Klaas Solingen. The grip is a beautiful, dark honey, type and remains in fine condition. The pommel shows minor traces of carrying time on the upper end, but still has frosting around the edges. The 12 standing oak leaves are in perfect condition, all having hand enhancement. The blade of this dagger is totally new-like, with a pristine mirror finish and a needle-like tip. There is no flaking whatsoever and all the etch frosting is 100% intact. The etch features a floral design on the obverse, with a center panel containing an Art Deco style Army Eagle holding a Swastika. The logo is the stamped Robert Klaas kissing cranes that is the only accepted maker for these rare daggers. The original leather washer is in place. This scabbard is straight and has excellent silver plating. The bands are particularly interesting as they depict oak leaves which have pebbled backgrounds. The throat is thick and is retained by two screws. It has two silver cloth hangers., |
