| Manufactured by Carl Zeiss, Jena. Rabbit ear periscope with tripod. Markings: S F 14 Z, H/6400/Gi, and Carl Zeiss logo over the serial number 28092. Sand color paint finish. Optics are very good with the calibrated square artillery grid reticle, few minor visible specks. The finish is worn with dents and scratches, rubber eyepieces missing from the oculars. Denting around the rims of both ocular and objectives. Focus on the right ocular works okay, left is quite stiff. The tripod is marked on one leg mount "GEBRUDER HAFF/G.M.B.H/PF RONTEN.283". Extendable adjustable wooden legs. Turret adjustment seem to function fine. The brass and red base for the optic seems to be stuck in place at an angle. The leather cover over the base is there and in good condition. Maybe not useable as is, but makes a great display. |
