| This is a scarce original Luftschutz Armband for an “Ordner” (a marshal at events). Members of the Reichs-Luftschutz-Bund (National Air Raid Defense League) wore these blue armbands to indicate their specific roles within the organization. This one is Bevo machine woven construction and features a white “O” (for “Ordner”) on a band of thin blue fabric, rayon. The colors remain nice and bright, the fabric is crisp, and it is sewn together in the back, just as it would have been issued. The two armbands of this Luftschutz Armbands are very good., |
