| 54 Cal; fair bore, good stock, 8.5'' barrel, Marked on the center of the lock "U.S./H.. ASTON" and vertically at the rear of the lock "MIDDTN/CONN./1849". Round barrel with brass front sight blade. Brass mounted walnut stock with visible inspector cartouche on the left side flat. The barrel and hinged ramrod have pitting.
