| 54 Caliber; fair bore, good stock, 8.5'' barrel, Lock markings "U.S./H. ASTON" and at the rear of the plate "MIDDTN/CONN./1847". Bright finished round barrel with fixed brass sight. Brass mounted walnut stock with strong inspctor cartouches on the left side flat. Iron and brass have had some cleaning. Dark spotting and minor pitting on the barrel. Small dings on the brass butt. Action functions well. Missing the hammer screw. Antique. |
