| 22 LR; 60% blue, poor bore, very good+ stock, 20'' barrel, A unique single shot bolt action rifle for .22 short & long cartridges. Marked on top of the barrel " No. 43 22 cal. L & S Pat. Oct. 30 1900 Aug. 9 1910 C.J. Hamilton & Son Plymouth Mich. U.S.A.". The bolt works in the conventional way to open the loading port ahead of the breech frame for inserting a cartridge and then is closed and the handle pulled back to cock the action. The trigger is not working. Barrel has thinning with scattered freckling. Bore is bright with pitting about half-way through. |
