| 9.3 X 57mm; 85% blue, good bore, fair stock, 21.5'' barrel, Manufactured in 1939. 98 Mauser military style action. Original blue finish, mounted in a walnut stock with checkered grip. The barrel has been shortened to length with a muzzle brake installed, the front sight ramped base set back. The front sight blade and rear sight have been removed. The receiver is drilled and tapped for Weaver style two piece scope bases. The stock has a vented recoil pad added. There is a crack on the right side of the stock above the trigger. The bolt handle has been modified for scope clearance and a low scope safety is installed on the bolt shroud. Mechanically fine. The bore has strong rifliing, showing frost throughout and light corrosion in the grooves. C&R/FFL, s/n 266xx |
