| 8mm Mauser; 60% blue, very good bore, good stock, 23.5'' barrel, Manufactured in 1948. FN commercial 98 Mauser action. Original blue finish, mounted in a beechwood stock with checkered grip. Ramped fixed front and fixed rear sights. The receiver has been drilled and tapped with Weaver style scope bases installed on the top and drilled and tapped on the left side, screws installed. The top base screws are all larger replacements indicating problems with drilling the holes. The metal finish shows wear. The stock shows varnish finish wear. There is a chip on the buttplate toe. Mechanically fine. C&R/FFL, s/n 578xx |
