THE STOCK DISC IS ENGRAVED WITH THE UNIT "NSDOF 41" DENOTING THIS RIFLE WAS ISSUED TO THE SCHOOL NSDO-FELDAFING. ON PAGE 328/331 OF MR SIMPSONS BOOK "TRAINING RIFLES OF THE 3'RD REICH" GOES INTO GREAT LENGTH ABOUT THIS PARTICUALR SCHOOL. THE BLUING IS EVEN THROUGH OUT WITH LIGHT FRECKLING AND VERY LIGHT MUZZLE WEAR. THE WALNUT STOCK IS SOLID WITH THE INITIALS "WC" CARVED INTO THE RIGHT BUTT. THE STOCK HAS NUMEROUS LIGHT DINGS AND SCRATCHES AND ONE COMPRESSION DENT AT THE TOP COMB AND A RATHER CRUDE DUFFLE CUT REPAIR AS CAN BE SEEN IN THE PHOTOS.
