| 45 ACP; very good+ bore, very good grips, 5'' barrel, Manufactured in 1943. British proofed on the barrel chamber, slide near the port and right rear frame, with 1952 Govt release date along the front of the right grip panel. Original parkerized finish. Keyes ribbed back checkered plastic grips without rings around the screw holes. Proper slide, marked on the left side "ITHACA GUN CO. INC. / ITHACA N.Y.". Without the model markings on the right side. "P" firing proof on top of the slide near the rear sight. Frame is stamped with the inspector "FJA" high behind the trigger, and with the P proof below the magazine catch. The right side of the frame is stamped with the ordnance wheel escutcheon behind the grip panel. "UNITED STATES PROPERTY" over the serial number above the trigger, and "M 1911 A1 U.S. ARMY" on the extension. Blued finish HS and P marked barrel. Narrow checkered hammer. 7 rib mainspring housing. Serrated safety and slide catch. MS Little blued finish magazine. Metal finish shows edge wear with slight thinning and handling marks on the front grip frame strap. Includes a vintage Hunter open top leather belt holster., s/n 14442xx |
