| 38 S&W; fair bore, poor grips, 3.25'' barrel, Manufactured circa early 1900s with original blue finish and checkered hard rubber grips with owls head logos. Double action top break design with exposed hammer and a 5-shot cylinder. Serial number on the bottom of the trigger guard. Stamped on top of the barrel rib +IVER JOHNSON'S ARMS & CYCLE WORKS+/-FITCHBURG, MASS. U.S.A.- and on the butt of the grip frame +PAT. JUNE 16, 96. AUG. 25. 96+/-PAT'S PENDING-. The metal finish is worn with surface spotting overall, traces of the original blue finish showing on the barrel. The left grip has a large chip at the toe and a small chip at the upper front corner, the right grip has a crack on the bottom at the locating pin. The action is not working.
