| 8.15x46mmR; 90% blue, fair bore, good stock, 30.5'' barrel, Manufactured in Germany c.early 1890's by Johannes Schneider of Leipzig, his name inlaid in gold on top of the barrel. Martini type falling block color case hardened action. Bright blued finish full octagon barrel with a 6" dovetailed flat. Engraved muzzle. Walnut forend with single wedge. Walnut stock with left hand cheekrest and checkered straight grip. Heavy blued finish hooked buttplate. Fancy lever with rear set double trigger. The front barrel sight is missing. Key adjustable rear aperture sight, adjustable for windage and elevation. Crown/B and U proofed on the right upper front corner of the action. Matching serial numbers are located on the bottom of the buttplate hook, front of the action and bottom of the barrel under the forend, and inside the barrel channel on the forend. The wood shows handling, forend chipped at both upper rear corners, stock chipped on both lower front corners at the action. The action functions well. The bores rifling is fairly strong, however is dull with frost., s/n 68xx |
