| 6.5mm Japanese; 70% blue, Good bore, Fair stock, 26'' barrel, ARISAKA TYPE 99 MADE AT NAGOYA IN 7.7MM. THE FINISH IS HEAVILY DULLED AND FADED WITH A PARTIALLY DEFACED MUM. THE REAR SIGHT RETAINS ONLY ONE ANTI AIRCRAFT WING AND THE MONOPOD IS GONE. THE BORE IS MOSTLY BRIGHT WITH LIGHT OXIDATION IN THE GROOVES. THE STOCK SHOWS A CRACK ON BOTH SIDES OF THE GRIP AND THE TWO PIECE STOCK SHOWS DARK AT THE SEEM. THE BOLT IS MATCHING. THE CONSIGNEE MENTIONED THAT THIS WAS THE FIRST MILITARY RIFLE HE EVER BOUGHT IN 1956 FOR THE HUGE SUM OF $10., s/n 371xx |
