| Showa period civilian sword with all brass mounts. 22.25 inch blade with a copper Habaki. The Hamon (temper line) is clearly visible on the blade. The tang is signed by Kanenaga. Rayskin handle wrapped in green cord. Complete with a leather covered bamboo scabbard. The blade has scattered areas of minor pittiing and shows signs of some amatuer sharpening. There are a few tiny nicks along the edge of the blade. The handle is tight and the brass mounts retain th original age patina. The leather cover on the scabbard is intact and tight. NOTE: We prefer in store sale only on our inventory of Japanese swords, due to recent problems with swords returned to us with missing or replaced parts. If we must mail order this item, there will be no return privilege granted, so please look at the photos carefully and ask detailed questions when speaking with a sales person., |
