| 7.7mm Japanese; 10% blue, poor bore, very good stock, 29.56'' barrel, This Navy marked rifle is non-matching, and non-firing. It has a naval anchor instead of the Chrysanthemum. The 99 Type Special characters has been scrubbed off. The finish has worn off. The bore is corroded. Inverted ‘V’ front sight, rear sight is a folding leaf graduated 300-1700 meters. 2-piece stock. Short handguard. Minor nicks, dings and compression dents. There are two small cartouches on bottom of wrist, a Japanese character inside circle on right side of stock, and a rectangle with characters on left side. The buttplate is of flat steel. There is a spare, (bent), firing pin in the cleaning rod hole. It has a ‘78’ about 1 ½-inches in front of the 3-digit s/n., s/n 782xx |
