| 6.5mm Japanese; 85% blue, good bore, fair stock, 25'' barrel, ARISAKA TYPE 38 CAVALRY RIFLE IN GOOD OVERALL CONDITION. THESE STARTED OUT AS REGULAR TYPE 38 RIFLES THAT WERE LATER MODIFIED BYY FITTING SHORTER BARRELS AND STOCKS. ALL SPECIMENS WERE MODIFED AT THE CHIGUSA FACTORY OF NAGOYA ARSENAL. THIS EXAMPLE HAS A MISMATCHED BOLT. THE BLUING IS GOOD ON THE BARREL AND RECEIVER (GROUND MUM) BUT HEAVILY WORN ON THE TRIGGER GUARD ASSEMBLY. THE BORE IS BRIGHT WITH GOOD BUT LIGHTLY WORN RIFLING. THE TWO PIECE STOCK IS SOLID BUT ROUGH SHOWING NUMEROUS DINGS, SCRATCHES AND COMPRESSION DENTS., |
