The rear is an adjustable peep with folding leaf graduated in 100-meter increments 300 meters to 1500 meters. The anti-aircraft wings are missing. The top of the receiver has a partially defaced Chrysanthemum and the characters signifying Type 99. The left side of the receiver is stamped with the S/N 50098 and the symbol of the Nagoya Arsenal.
