| 11mm; 65% blue, fair bore, good stock, 32'' barrel, This rifle has been sporterized. This is a Mauser Model 1871/84 rifle. It is a mismatch rifle. Originally adopted as the Gewehr 71 or Infanterie-Gewehr 71, or "Infantry Rifle 71 ("I.G. Mod.71" was stamped on the rifles themselves) The front sight is a blade, and the rear sight is a ladder style graduated to 1600 meters The blue on the barrel is in very good condition, but the receiver is mostly silvered out. The bore is corroded. The stock has mild amount of handling marks and the right rear buttstock. Has a presentation plaque dated 1917 and has sling swivels. ANTIQUE, s/n 92xx |
