This scope was evidently given as a prise or private purchased as a donation to the war effort, and another opinion is that the scope was given to an American soldier after the occupation of Austria after the end of the war by workers at the depot. It is stamped on the top in front of the adjustment wheel "Gewidmet von der Gefolgschatt des Ammunitions-Depot Lambach". Roughly translates to; Donated by the staff at the Lambach Ammunitions Depot., |
